Job summary

Channel ABA in Central Pennsylvania seeks a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT-ABA) for the Enhanced Program, serving children with complex behavioral and skill-development needs. You will gain advanced clinical training and work under supervision with a BCBA or licensed consultant.

Responsibilities include implementing ABA plans, teaching communication and daily living skills, collecting data, and collaborating with caregivers and the interdisciplinary team across home, school, and community

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Bachelor's Degree preferred in related field
• RBT Certification preferred (Behavior Analyst Certification Board)
• 40-hour RBT Training completed or willingness to complete
• Experience with children/adolescents with complex behavior challenges
• Experience with autism or developmental delays preferred
• Ability to stay calm, professional, and supportive
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable transportation and travel up to 45 minutes
• Ability to obtain/maintain required clearances and certifications

Responsibilities

• Technician must be willing to work at least 1 weekend shift each week and 2–3 evenings per week until 8 PM
• Implement ABA treatment plans under supervision of a BCBA or licensed Behavior Specialist
• Teach communication, social, adaptive living, self-regulation, and daily living skills
• Support clients in home, community, school, and other environments
• Use trauma-informed strategies to promote engagement and safety
• Collect accurate behavioral and skill data
• Collaborate with BCBAs, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team
• Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and professional development
• Implement crisis prevention, de-escalation, and safety procedures when needed
