Job summary

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools seeks an English Learner (EL) Teacher to deliver instructional support under moderate supervision. You will supervise, monitor, and evaluate students while creating lesson plans to meet diverse needs, and you will lead school-wide EL efforts including LIEP implementation for identified English Learners.

Responsibilities include planning engaging EL programming, collaborating with administrators, and ensuring compliance with district policies and state standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and NC teaching certification or eligibility.
• Experience with English Learners and standardized testing is preferred.
• Ability to implement district EL policies and LIEP guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assess student progress and maintain IEP/504 records.
• Collaborate with staff to support EL students and families.
• Lead EL initiatives and oversee LIEP implementation.
