Job summary

AMS is seeking a detail-oriented English Learner (EL) Coordinator to support instructional and compliance components of the EL program. The role involves collaboration with ELD teachers, data management, and AZELLA administration to ensure accurate documentation and state/federal compliance.

The EL Coordinator will implement small-group language instruction, manage eligibility reviews, and maintain organized EL files.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and data-management skills.
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Ability to work with multilingual learners and diverse student populations.
• Attention to detail and compliance responsibilities.
• Collaborative, professional, and initiative-driven.
• Follow established processes and work independently when needed.
• Pass required background checks and obtain Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with ELD teachers to support targeted language instruction.
• Provide small-group instructional support in ELD and Target ELD classes.
• Assist in developing reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills.
• Use assessment data to inform instructional interventions.
• Administer AZELLA placement and reassessment tests (online and paper-pencil).
• Maintain AZELLA data in PAN, PowerSchool, and ADEConnect.
