Job summary

AMS Flower in Phoenix, AZ seeks an English Learner (EL) Coordinator to support instructional and compliance components of the EL program. The role involves collaboration with ELD teachers, small-group language instruction, and data-driven documentation to ensure Title III compliance and targeted language development for multilingual learners.

The EL Coordinator will administer AZELLA placement and reassessment, enter data into PAN, PowerSchool, and ADEConnect, and maintain EL student files.

Qualifications

  • Completion of required background checks and AZ IVP Fingerprint Card.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with ELD teachers to support targeted language instruction aligned with student proficiency levels.
  • Provide small-group instructional support to students in ELD and Target ELD classes.
  • Assist in creating a structured and supportive learning environment for multilingual learners.
  • Administer AZELLA placement and reassessment tests in online and paper-pencil formats.
  • Interpret AZELLA and other assessment results to support program implementation.
  • Identify EL student eligibility through review of registration and academic records.
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal Title III requirements.
  • Accurately enter AZELLA placement and reassessment data into required systems (PAN, PowerSchool, ADEConnect).
  • Prepare and distribute Parent Notification and Consent forms for EL program participation.
  • Maintain organized EL student files (Active EL, FEP1, FEP2, etc.).
  • Track and monitor the return of required compliance documentation.
  • Reconcile EL program reports to ensure accurate student data and participation records.
  • Complete required monitoring documentation for reclassified students (FEP1/FEP2).
  • Participate in EL team meetings and network training sessions.
  • Collaborate with school staff to support student success and language development.
  • Maintain inventory of AZELLA testing materials and EL program supplies.
