Academies of Math and Science (AMS) seeks an English Learner (EL) Coordinator to support instructional and compliance components of the EL program at AMS Flower in Phoenix. The role focuses on targeted language development, AZELLA testing, and accurate program documentation.

Under the Director of Assessments & ELD, you will manage data, support multilingual learners, and collaborate with teachers to ensure Title III compliance and smooth EL operations across the campus.

This role is critical in ensuring students receive targeted language development support while maintaining compliance with state and federal Title III requirements.Under the direction of the Director of Assessments & ELD, the EL Coordinator will collaborate with teachers and school staff to support English Learners through small-group instruction, assessment administration, data management, and accurate program documentation.This role is ideal for a highly organized individual who is committed to supporting multilingual learners and contributing to a structured, data-driven educational environment.### **Key Responsibilities****Instructional Support*** Collaborate with ELD teachers to support targeted language instruction aligned with student proficiency levels.* Provide small-group instructional support to students in ELD and Target ELD classes.* Support the development of students’ reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills in English.* Use assessment data to inform instructional support and interventions.* Assist in creating a structured and supportive learning environment for multilingual learners.**Assessment & Compliance*** Complete required training for AZELLA placement and reassessment testing.* Administer AZELLA placement and reassessment tests in online and paper-pencil formats.* Interpret AZELLA and other assessment results to support program implementation.* Identify EL student eligibility through review of registration and academic records.* Maintain compliance with state and federal Title III requirements.**Data Management & Documentation*** Accurately enter AZELLA placement and reassessment data into required systems, including PAN, PowerSchool, and ADEConnect.* Prepare and distribute Parent Notification and Consent forms for EL program participation.* Maintain organized and compliant EL student files, including Active EL, FEP1, FEP2, and other required categories.* Track and monitor the return of required compliance documentation.* Reconcile EL program reports to ensure accurate student data and participation records.* Complete required monitoring documentation for reclassified students (FEP1 and FEP2).**Collaboration & Professional Responsibilities*** Participate in EL team meetings and network training sessions.* Collaborate with school staff to support student success and effective program implementation.* Maintain inventory and organization of AZELLA testing materials and EL program supplies.* Support school-wide initiatives focused on student achievement and language development.**Minimum Qualifications*** Demonstrate strong organizational and data-management skills.* Possess proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.* Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with multilingual learners and diverse student populations.* Show strong attention to detail and the ability to manage compliance-related responsibilities.* Demonstrate collaboration, professionalism, and initiative in a team-based environment.* Be able to follow established processes and work independently when needed.* Pass required background checks and obtain an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.**Compensation & Benefits**AMS offers a competitive compensation and benefits package designed to support professional growth and long-term career success.* Competitive hourly pay based on experience.* 401(k) retirement plan with employer contributions.* Medical, dental, life, and disability insurance.* Optional vision coverage.* Opportunities for professional growth within the AMS network.* Ongoing training and development in EL instruction and compliance.Join us to enjoy rewarding challenges and ongoing opportunities!
