Qualifications

• Associate degree or 48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours, or demonstrated proficiency in reading, writing and math via competency test.
• Ability to speak, read and write English proficiently.
• Speaking another language is preferred but not required.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding student and staff information.
• Ability to move and be physically active throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Assist students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning.
• Model appropriate behaviors for students.
• Develop and maintain a professional rapport with teachers and staff.
• Assist students at arrival and dismissal of school.
• Supervise students during lunch and recess periods.
• Assist with grading and reviewing homework as instructed by teachers.
• Monitor student performance data and maintain records.
