Job summary

University of Wisconsin-La Crosse is seeking a Lecturer for the English department. The instructor will teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses, preparing for and holding classes in face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online formats while maintaining currency in the teaching content area.

Responsibilities include evaluating student work, providing regular feedback, maintaining records, and offering office hours.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in a field appropriate to the needs of the English department
• Depending on the program, specific certification/licensure or clinical experience may be required
• Legally authorized to work in the United States for the duration of the appointment

Responsibilities

• Facilitates classroom, online, and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance
• Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction
• Serves as an initial point of contact for students regarding specific course or series content and expectations

Education

Master’s Degree in a field appropriate to the English department

Certification/licensure (as required by program)

Legally authorized to work in the United States for the duration of the appointment
