Job summary

Tennessee Board of Regents is seeking adjunct instructors to deliver English courses in multiple delivery modes (on-ground, online, hybrid). Responsibilities include preparing syllabi, managing the LMS, and meeting all reporting deadlines.

Adequate communication and organizational skills are essential. Required qualifications include a Master’s in English or related fields, with additional graduate credits; teaching experience is preferred.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in English, Composition, Writing or Literature or Master’s degree in another discipline and 18 graduate credits in English, Composition, Writing or Literature
Experience with multiple instructional delivery modes including synchronous and asynchronous online teaching
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications

Responsibilities

Teach courses via on-ground, online and hybrid or web-enhanced delivery modes as assigned.
Work with course leads and/or program coordinators to ensure consistent and equitable student experiences.
Utilize the College’s learning management system to provide course materials to students.
Submit updated department syllabus prior to the first day of class.
Regularly check College email account and department mailbox.
Respond to emails/messages within 48 hours, except on weekends.
Complete all required reports, such as attendance, Early Alerts, student progress reports, grade submissions, and administer and return surveys and student outcome assessments by the deadlines.
Submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the Registrar.
Comply with all College and TBR policies and guidelines.
