Job summary

The Tennessee Board of Regents invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor – Learning Support, Reading (Pool). This role delivers quality instruction across on-ground, online, and hybrid formats and collaborates with course leads to ensure equitable student experiences.

You will use the LMS to provide course materials, submit updated syllabi, check emails within 48 hours, and file required reports and final grades on schedule, while complying with college and TBR policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Reading, Literacy or English with 3 graduate hours in developmental education, reading or literacy.
• Or a Bachelor’s degree in English, Language Arts or Literacy with one year of secondary Reading teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses via on-ground, online and hybrid or web-enhanced delivery modes.
• Work with course leads and/or program coordinators to ensure consistent and equitable student experiences.
• Utilize the College’s learning management system to provide course materials to students.
• Submit updated department syllabus prior to the first day of class.
• Regularly check College email account and department mailbox.
• Respond to emails/messages within 48 hours, except on weekends.
• Complete all required reports, such as attendance, Early Alerts, student progress reports, grade submissions, and administer and return surveys and student outcome assessments by the deadlines.
• Submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the Registrar.
• Comply with all College and TBR policies and guidelines.
