Job summary

Trane Technologies seeks an Engineering Process Excellence Leader to drive the tools, systems, automation, and productivity strategy across the Engineering organization. This role standardizes workflows and governs data quality to improve capacity and cycle time, partnering with IT, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain.

The position leads Lean, Six Sigma, and kaizen initiatives, oversees CAD/PDM administration, and aligns design data with ERP systems to ensure secure, scalable processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field is required.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in engineering systems, CAD/PDM administration, automation, or process improvement.
• Minimum five years of leadership experience managing technical teams or cross-functional improvement initiatives.
• Demonstrated experience with SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience integrating CAD and PDM with ERP, manufacturing, or business systems.
• Experience leading Lean, Six Sigma and kaizen initiatives to improve capacity and flow.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the Engineering Tools and Process roadmap while leading the Engineering Excellence team.
• Serve as owner and administrator for SolidWorks, SolidWorks PDM, and related design platforms.
• Develop and maintain standard SolidWorks models, templates, and libraries.
• Collaborate with IT, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing to integrate CAD, PDM, ERP, and manufacturing systems.
• Establish robust document control, revision management, and approval workflows.
• Lead Lean, Six Sigma, and kaizen initiatives to remove bottlenecks and optimize capacity.
• Author standardized procedures, checklists, and templates.
• Build training programs to drive tool adoption and competency.
