JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.
Job Summary -- Essential Functions/Duties
Under close supervision, an Engineering Technologist II performs a variety of fundamental engineering tasks in development, manufacturing, testing, installation, integration, sustainment, operations, and maintenance of software, electronic, and/or mechanical equipment and systems. Work is at an entry level and is generally performed as a member of an operational, maintenance, and sustainment team.
Employee will be responsible for the following functions/duties:
- Operate radars and other electronic equipment on a daily basis.
- Maintain, sustain, and troubleshoot and repair analog and digital equipment used in radar transmitters, receivers, timing assemblies, data collection, and RF and digital transmission lines.
- Construct electronic and RF chassis using industry standard fabrication techniques for wiring and packaging.
- Provide structure as a member of a small project team or work center
- Contribute knowledge on test and troubleshooting processes
- Provide knowledge on Radio Frequency (RF) and RADAR principles
- Suggest improvements to processes and procedures to obtain efficiencies
- Develop basic data analysis tools, processes, or products for analysis
- Analyze pre-test predictions to define data collection requirements
- Collect, QC, and analyze data; Identify and resolve basic data anomalies; Present test findings
- Assist in authoring final test products and present the findings to customers
- Perform other job-related duties, as required
Desired Qualifications

Requirements -- Education, Technical, And Work Experience
A Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology from an ETAC ABET-accredited academic institution and two years of post-graduation experience is required for this position.
In addition, an Engineering Technologist II must possess the following qualifications:
- Professional knowledge of applicable engineering concepts and principles
- Familiarity with related engineering fields
- Practical knowledge of test methods and practices sufficient to perform routine to more complex engineering procedures and to prepare or make minor modifications of standard test procedures or test equipment work instructions
- Working knowledge of computer systems and computer-based engineering tools
- Planning/organizational skills and the ability to work under deadlines
- Must qualify for and maintain a government security clearance
- Must possess a valid, state-issued driver's license.
Salary
The expected salary range for this position is $77,189.00 to $110,843 annually.

JT4, LLC considers factors such as (but not limited to) responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Working Conditions
Work is performed both indoors and outdoors. Outdoor duties may be performed on even or uneven surfaces, which may be dry or wet, gravel or shingled roof. Grease or oil may be found on working surfaces. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds (anything heavier requires two or more people or mechanical assistance), constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, and constant mental alertness are required.

In general, all positions may require standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, bending, twisting, kneeling, crouching and crawling. JT4 employees will only operate equipment that they have been fully trained on and/or are certified to operate. If working in a training capacity, employees must be supervised at all times by a competent trained or certified company employee. Under no circumstances should employees use another employee's equipment without permission from their immediate supervisor or manager. Conversely, employees should not allow other JT4 employees or employees of another employer to use JT4-owned or assigned equipment without proof of training and approval of the shop manager.
Employee will be required to work varying and overtime hours to support mission requirements. Travel to remote company work locations may be required with occasional over-night assignments.
