Job summary

Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) invites applications for an Engineering Technologist in Los Alamos, NM. You will work with engineers to maintain and improve electro‑mechanical systems, ensuring safety, reliability, and uptime for production equipment.

The role supports preventive/predictive maintenance, equipment upgrades, and collaboration with Process Engineers to implement new systems while meeting strict safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Proven participation in preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and resolving equipment malfunctions and upgrading and modifying equipment.
• Proven experience with configuration management or change management.
• Demonstrated compliance with safety and operational standards, including Lockout/Tagout.
• Participated in designing, planning, and executing maintenance plans.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and enhance electro‑mechanical equipment including radiography, leak check systems, inspection equipment, and robotics.
• Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to plan and execute maintenance on production equipment.
