Duke Energy seeks an Engineering Technologist I for a first-level, non-engineer degreed technical support role. The position is hybrid and based at Lake Wales or Highland (Sebring) Centers, requiring the ability to work with a diverse team and communicate effectively.
Ideal candidates hold an Associate degree in Engineering Technology or a high school diploma with two years of related experience. Travel is modest, and relocation assistance may be provided per program guidelines.

This is the first level of the non-Engineer degreed technical support role job classification.
The Engineering Technologist I applies developing technical expertise to solve simple problems, and management skills to provide oversight of work in a specific area of developing expertise, with high direction and close supervision.
Incumbents are expected to develop skills in their field of study, and the ability to work with some degree of independence.
