Job summary

The Matlen Silver Group, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Technician for a 12+ month contract in Salt Lake City, UT. The role supports engineers and teams in development and analysis of products, materials, processes, or equipment.

Required pay scale is 25-26 USD/hour on W2, and USC or GC candidates only due to client requirements. The position emphasizes GLP/QS compliance, prototype testing, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of technical work experience; 5+ years preferred.
• Provide preliminary equipment and prototype drawings and specifications (testing & prototyping skills).
• Bench fixturing/tooling design experience.
• Experience working with external vendors.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Communicate basic technical information clearly in written and oral form.
• Train others on new product processes and test procedures.
• Organize, coordinate, and execute building and testing of prototypes/products per engineering instructions.
• Assist project teams in establishing specifications and quality standards.
• Use internal resources and qualified external vendors to obtain supplies and services.
• Act as a resource to other employees.
• Actively participate in project team meetings and communicate project status.
