Job summary

Astrion is seeking an Engineering Technician IV for the RTC Test and Engineering Services contract to support Army division efforts at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL. The role focuses on assembling, testing, and troubleshooting complex electrical systems and components used in missiles and related hardware.

The candidate should have extensive electronics/instrumentation training and a strong background in using test equipment and interpreting engineering drawings.

Qualifications

• Must have completed 16 weeks of electronics/instrumentation training and four years of related experience.
• Ability to obtain a Secret Government security clearance (U.S. citizen).
• Experience with testing hardware and wiring in defense environments.

Responsibilities

• Construct and test cables and wiring harnesses from drawings.
• Test cables, wiring harnesses, populated PCBs, receivers, and transmitters using drawings and test equipment.
• Assemble, test, and troubleshoot TM/FTS kits with general and special tools.
• Integrate TM/FTS kits into missiles prior to test missions.

Overview LOCATION: Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL JOB STATUS: Full-time CLEARANCE: Ability to Obtain Secret CERTIFICATION: NA TRAVEL: 15% Astrion has an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Technician IV for the RTC Test and Engineering Services (RTES) Contract supporting the Army Division.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

• 7 years of applicable experience supporting engineering, design, or testing of hardware in the appropriate area of specialization; or 3 years of applicable college/vocational/military/technical school and 4 years of applicable experience in the assigned specialty area; and the following additional requirements: Instrumentation - Experience must include successful completion of sixteen (16) weeks of civilian or military training in electronics or basic instrumentation techniques and a minimum of 4 years of experience in electronics/instrumentation supporting engineering or testing of military hardware.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Government security clearance. (Must be a U.S. Citizen.)
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Must have a valid driver's license. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
• Must be flexible in adapting to deadlines, changing schedules, competing priorities, and unpredictable events.
• Thorough, detail oriented, and organized, with excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects at once.
