Job summary

Astrion is seeking an Engineering Technician IV to support the RTC Test and Engineering Services (RTES) Contract for the Army Division at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL.

The role involves constructing and testing cables, wiring harnesses, PCBs, receivers, and transmitters from drawings, using test equipment, and integrating TM/FTS kits into missiles prior to test missions. A Secret clearance is required or ability to obtain one.

Qualifications

• 7 years of experience in engineering, design, or testing hardware; or 3 years plus 4 years of related education/training.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Government security clearance (U.S. Citizen).
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Construct and test cables and wiring harnesses from drawings.
• Test cables, wiring harnesses, populated PCBs, receivers, and transmitters using general test equipment.
• Assemble, test, and troubleshoot TM/FTS kits.
• Integrate TM/FTS kits into missiles prior to test missions.

Astrion has an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Technician IV for the RTC Test and Engineering Services (RTES)Contract supporting the Army Division.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

• 7 years of applicable experience supporting engineering, design, or testing of hardware in the appropriate area of specialization; or 3 years of applicable college/vocational/military/technical school and 4 years of applicable experience in the assigned specialty area; and the following additional requirements:

Instrumentation – Experience must include successful completion of sixteen (16) weeks of civilian or military training in electronics or basic instrumentation techniques and a minimum of 4 years of experience in electronics/instrumentation supporting engineering or testing of military hardware.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Government security clearance. (Must be a U.S. Citizen.)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

• Must be flexible in adapting to deadlines, changing schedules, competing priorities, and unpredictable events.

• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering instructions.


• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
