Job summary

Holder Construction is seeking an Engineer Technician in Training to join the Operations team on our Lancaster, TX project. This full-time role supports field engineers and contributes to surveying and construction tasks under supervision.

The ideal candidate has 6 months to 1 year of construction exposure, can read drawings, and is willing to work outdoor, overtime, and weekends in OSHA-compliant conditions. Training provided.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidates will have 6 mos. to 1 year of construction experience.
• Ability to read construction drawings.
• Training in construction safety protocols (OSHA 10, fall protection, mobile elevated platform, boom and scissor).
• Must be agile/mobile, able to stand or walk for long periods, and lift 50–100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist Field Engineers in operating surveying instruments.
• Assist with establishing building control, markers, lines, corners, elevations, grades, alignments, angles, positions, and distances.
• Maintain total station, field book, survey equipment and tools.
• Provide primary support to our field supervision and lead daily tasks at jobsite.
