Job summary

Valkyrie Enterprises is seeking an Engineering Technician III in Norfolk, VA, to support space modifications and the installation and sustainment of infrastructures for shore-site training systems. The role involves field verification, schematics work, and coordination of equipment installation and testing.

Responsibilities include lifecycle management, complex modifications, and hands-on support for shipboard training systems, with travel up to 10% and a requirement for DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Must have high school or equivalent and appropriate Trade School or related Armed Forces School and at least 7 years of related experience.
• Must have experience in engineering studies and analysis of actual and/or proposed shore-site installations.
• Must be able to perform facility visits to verify dimensions, interfaces, power availability, tolerances, and other installation factors.

Responsibilities

• Lifecycle management of shore-site training systems.
• Perform modifications including space modifications, installation and sustainment of infrastructures (hardware, cabling, IT systems, electrical, HVAC, etc.).
• Support shipboard training systems with modifications, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair (hardware, software, cabling, logistics).
• Generate and execute procedures for shore-site activations, upgrades, and repairs.
• Read and follow schematics and maintain assembly instructions for Government-built prototype equipment; develop schematics, drawings, and TDPS.
• Install and verify equipment and cables installed in the facility.
• Maintain records (engineering/administrative) such as tests, drawings, computer usage, QA; plot data and graphs.
• Follow established policies to ensure proper working order.
• Assist in field/production activities such as data collection, equipment design, testing, QC, and efficiency studies.
