Job summary

Valkyrie Enterprises in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer Technician to support Combat Systems maintenance and training for shipboard personnel. The role covers operation, maintenance and assessment of combat systems equipment on US Navy ships home-ported in the Hampton Roads area.

Candidates should have an Associate’s degree with extensive Navy ship experience, including leadership of technical teams and Navy 3-M/supply system familiarity. On-site work is required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree with 12+ years related experience; or 14+ years if no degree.
• At least 12 years’ experience maintaining hull, mechanical, and electrical or electronic equipment on US Naval ships.
• At least 4 years directing or supervising a workforce of less skilled technical personnel.
• At least 5 years’ experience administering Navy 3-M and supply system.

Responsibilities

• Provide Combat systems maintenance and training for shipboard personnel.
• Instruct Ship’s Force personnel to conduct functional checks and operational tests.
• Maintain and support alarms/sensors, security, exterior comms, and combat systems equipment.
• Support maintenance on US Navy CG, DDG and Amphibious class ships in Hampton Roads.
