Job summary

Valkyrie Enterprises is seeking a Systems Engineer (IP) to support the Surface Combat Systems Training Command in Dahlgren, VA. The role involves high level engineering support for international partners and readiness training for US and allied forces.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma and at least 6 years' experience in the design operation and/or maintenance of complex U.S. Navy Surface Combat Systems.
• Experience designing and developing solutions to problems which enhance user functionality.
• Experience in analyzing proposed changes and impact on system readiness and user functionality.
• Experience reading design documents and evaluating high level interface diagrams for training applicability.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Performs high level engineering support for the International Programs Office (N7I) for training readiness for international partners.
• Assess USN baseline changes and apply surface ship combat systems knowledge to determine training requirements and impacts to FMS baselines.
• Recommend changes in technical application and training for FMS maintenance and courses taught by SCSTC.
• Develop and employ advanced methods to solve complex military system design requirements, development, and fielding.
• Evaluate system capabilities and limitations and provide training recommendations based on country configurations.
• Present findings to government staff and propose system improvements and training solutions.
