Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Engineering Technician (Level 3) to join the Manufacturing Engineering team in San Diego (Rancho Carmel) and support the Spectrum campus as needed. The role involves building, testing, and maintaining electronic and electromechanical equipment per engineering drawings and procedures.

Required: High School diploma or equivalent with 4 years of related experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to document results.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent plus 4 years of related experience.
• Experience documenting test results and collaborating with engineers.
• Experience troubleshooting electronic and electrical systems and components.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Government Security Clearance; US Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, tests, and maintains equipment and CCAs.
• Works from engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions; reports data.
• Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments as directed.
• Operates lab equipment; ensures calibration and lab cleanliness.
• Tests systems and components for aeronautical platforms; plans operations with Lab Manager.
• Maintains documentation and data to support engineering evaluation and verification.
