Job Description: Engineering Tech III 1st shift - Sanford, NC

We are seeking an Engineering Tech III to join our Sanford, NC team. Your role involves safely installing, inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment. You will use Lean tools (RCCM, 5-whys, A3) to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs. Additionally, you will improve existing processes and equipment, working with limited supervision, and assisting in training and developing other technicians and new equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Follow all company and department policies and procedures.
• Complete assigned tasks safely, professionally, and on time.
• Work scheduled hours and overtime as needed.
• Enhance skills and knowledge related to the job.
• Perform work independently.
• Train and develop other technicians.

Key Qualifications:

• Fluent in English reading and communication.
• 3-5 years of relevant maintenance or industrial technician experience.
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, lift, and reach frequently.
• Knowledge of safe work practices, including OSHA standards, forklift/PIT certification, PPE, fire safety, lockout/tagout, hot work procedures.
• Ability to read mechanical blueprints, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical schematics.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and plumbing equipment.
• Program and calibrate robots (Fanuc, Wittman, etc.) and PLCs.
• Identify root causes and recommend operational improvements.
• Operate maintenance and diagnostic equipment, including volt/amp/ohm meters, oscilloscopes, data loggers, thermographic cameras, and circuit analyzers.
• Proficient with maintenance software (CMMS), LabView, HMI software, and PLC programming tools.
• Possess or demonstrate knowledge equivalent to courses in electrical, machining, welding, HVAC, PLCs, hydraulics/pneumatics, motors, AutoCAD, injection molding, or other relevant activities.
• Communicate effectively across shifts and teams.

Education:

• Associate's degree or 3-5 years of relevant work experience.

Language Skills:

• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Compensation:

Estimated hourly pay: $33.00/hr. Actual pay depends on experience, education, certifications, and organizational needs.

Shift Hours:

On-site, 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with overtime and weekends as needed.
