Maintenance Technician

Location: Sun Valley, CA

Pay Range: $23.80-$28.44/hr

Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm

Seeking an Aviation Maintenance Technician IV to support its Assembly department. The selected applicant will mechanically disassemble, clean, inspect, assemble, and test landing gears and/or attaching equipment. Assemble landing gear in accordance with all relevant manuals, federal, state, and local agency requirements, and customer requirements. Work from complex and detailed assembly blueprints, technical drawings, bills of materials, and overhaul manuals. Work with various electric, hydraulic, pneumatic, and hand tools of different sizes and weights.

Essential Duties

  1. Disassemble (LDG) and inspect parts for wear, warping, or defects per Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM).
  2. Clean and identify parts as necessary.
  3. Perform general and detailed inspections of parts and assemblies.
  4. Read and follow blueprints, component maintenance manuals, illustrated parts lists, and related technical materials accurately.
  5. Assemble and service Landing Gear and/or attaching equipment according to Component Maintenance Manuals, Blueprints, and other Technical Publications.
  6. Work from complex blueprints, verbal, and written instructions with minimal supervision.
  7. Test landing gear and/or attaching equipment following Component Maintenance Manuals procedures.
  8. Troubleshoot and analyze options during LDG testing procedures as required.
  9. Assist in training and developing junior personnel.
  10. Adjust, align, and calibrate aircraft systems using hand tools, gauges, and test equipment.
  11. Use hydraulic press machines, hand, electric, and pneumatic tools as needed.
  12. Repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft structures, components, and parts such as wings, fuselage, rigging, and hydraulic units.
  13. Measure parts for proper fit and clearance.
  14. Follow all safety rules, regulations, and guidelines.
  15. Work with LEAN Manufacturing principles.
  16. Perform other duties as required by business needs.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Airframe & Powerplant License required.
  • Seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience working on Landing Gears and/or MRO.
  • Experience in Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) of Landing Gear.
