Description

Academy Bus is seeking a full-time Class C Diesel Mechanic - Commercial Vehicle Alignment/Wheel Reconditioning for our new Orlando, FL location.

$2500 Sign-On Bonus. Every Friday is pay day!

This is a specialty position but requires a CDL-B to transport wheels to other terminals.

Shift: 1st Shift: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

  • Repair, troubleshooting, and diagnosis of modern tour buses
  • Reconditioning, preventative, and routine maintenance
  • General lubrication functions such as oil/filters, air filters, chassis lubrication, transmission fluids/filters, differential fluids, axles/wheels
  • Inspection, installation, disassembly, and cleaning of components under supervision such as brake components, suspension components, tires, and seats
  • Warranty and repair documentation
  • Assist A and B Level Mechanics with skilled work

Requirements:

  • 1-4 years of hands-on experience; diesel engine maintenance preferred
  • Minimum personal tool value: $2000
  • Proven ability to use hand tools, power tools, hydraulic jacks, and testing instruments
  • Valid driver's license
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
