Job summary

Daikin Comfort in Texas is seeking an Engineering Technician to support the Engineering department and production by creating and maintaining product specifications, BOMs, and change notices. You will work with engineers to test, build prototypes, and collect data, while ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently to deliver high-quality products on time.

The role requires problem-solving, CAD proficiency, and hands-on maintenance experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical training in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred.
• Vocational training or degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Support production to resolve equipment, process and technical issues.
• Provide daily support for repairs, installations and regular maintenance.
• Develop methods to prevent and remediate equipment issues and safety hazards.
• Write and maintain engineering specifications, BOMs, and change notifications.
• Create or update engineering drawings and specifications using CAD software.
• Work with Engineers to set up tests and collect variable data.
• Prepare samples and coordinate testing with regulatory agencies.
• Document PM plans and ensure effectiveness and continuity.
