Job summary

Nidec Corporation seeks a skilled Electrical Engineer to design and implement industrial control systems in the United States. You will plan with detailed drawings, develop PLC/HMI programs, and configure AC/DC drive systems, using AutoCAD Electrical and possibly EPLAN.

You will produce technical reports, ensure safety standards, and support project commissioning. Required is a BS in Electrical/Controls Engineering with 5+ years of design experience; MS is a plus.

Qualifications

  • BS in Electrical or Controls Engineering is required.
  • 5+ years in design and implementation of industrial control systems.
  • Experience with PLCs, HMIs, and drives (VFDs) is essential.
  • Knowledge of schematics, panel layouts, and NEC standards preferred.

Job Description

The Electrical Engineer must have good knowledge of the following:System design for automation of plants & machinery PLC, HMI, and other industrial-equipment programming Knowledge of AC and DC Drive Systems Schematic & Layout design for electrical & electronic Control Systems including VFDs using AUTOCAD Electrical and Mechanical, Knowledge of EPLAN will be plus. Simulation, testing, and documentation Commissioning of systems

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Controls Engineering.
  • Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 Years in Design & Implementation of Industrial Control systems using PLCs, HMIs, and Drives (VFDs); Minimum 5-Years of Programming PLCs, HMIs, and related equipment for Industrial Control Systems.
  • Minimum 3 Years direct work experience with Schematics & Panel layouts Knowledge of C#, VB, .NET, OPC, SQL will be plus.
Preferred
  • Knowledge of NEC / NFPA70 / UL 508 Standards.
  • Direct experience with implementation of systems with EtherNet/IP, EtherNet TCP/IP, DeviceNET, ProfiNET,Modbus TCP/IP Rockwell, GE, Siemens, & Schneider PLC Platforms experience.
