Job summary

Flowers Foods, Inc. in the United States is seeking an Engineering Technician I to support production through preventive and unscheduled maintenance.

Strong electrical and mechanical skills are required to support plant operations, including boilers and refrigeration equipment. This role requires SAP proficiency, training on current and lower level skillsets, and the ability to rotate between engineering and production tasks while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• One or more years experience as a Technician or formal training.
• Experience with heating, ventilation, air conditioning; welding; electronics and electrical repairs.
• Training/certifications or military training may substitute for Vocational training.
• Proficiency with SAP and data-related tasks is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned preventative maintenance tasks.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on plant equipment and machinery.
• Respond to and correct equipment stoppages and breakdowns; replace parts as needed.
• Operate shop tools and fabricate required parts.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area and follow safety rules.
• Follow company policies including EEO, safety and compliance.
• Perform other duties as directed by supervision.
• Fulfill work schedules and attendance policies.
