Job summary

TruNorth Automation in Minnesota seeks an Engineering Technician to bring high-precision automated solutions to life. You will lead mechanical and electrical assembly, field wiring, alignment, and setup of our custom equipment, collaborating closely with the engineering team to deliver top‑quality systems.

You are a self-driven, detail‑oriented professional who thrives in a fast-growing environment, capable of working both independently and within teams to meet demanding timelines and quality

Qualifications

  • High School or Technical School Diploma.
  • Associate degree in Engineering Technology or related field preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with power and hand tools, tooling, machine building, mechanics and electronics.
  • Ability to read electrical and pneumatic/hydraulic instrumentation & wiring schematics.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to collaborate in teams.
  • Willing to travel up to 10% (air or car).
  • US citizen or authorization to work permanently for any employer in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical and electrical assembly of automated equipment.
  • Oversee field wiring, alignment, and setup of bespoke systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering to bring high‑quality solutions to life.

Job description

TruNorth Automation is looking to grow its manufacturing department. As an Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for bringing high-precision automated solutions to life. Working closely with our engineering team, this role includes leading all aspects of the mechanical and electrical assembly, field wiring, alignment, and setup of our custom-designed equipment. You are joining a highly driven and ambitious team with decades of experience in delivering high-end automated equipment, and you will be vital in our efforts to deliver exceptional quality to our customers.

  • Ability to read electrical and pneumatic/hydraulic instrumentation & wiring schematics
  • Hold effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Work well both individually and in teams
  • Able to travel by air or car (estimated 10% max.)
  • US citizen or authorization to work permanently for any Employer in the United States
