Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or computer engineering; GPA 3.0 minimum.
  • Practical internship, co‑op, or team experience with control systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Prior service experience with software development, motion control, electrical design, PLC, HMI, machine vision, or robotics is preferred but not required.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% locally and international/continental US as needed.
  • US citizen or work authorization in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Balance programming skills with hands‑on robotic assembly and automation.
  • Travel to customer sites to assist in upgrades, installs, and troubleshooting.

Job description

TruNorth Automation is looking to increase growth in its Service department. Ideal candidate demonstrates a strong balance between hands‑on practical experience, an aptitude for software development and machine debug of custom automation machines primarily in the life science and med device industry. You are joining a driven, and ambitious company with decades of experience in delivering sophisticated automation equipment.

You Will Succeed if You:
  • Are self-driven and energetic with a learner mindset motivated to meaningfully contribute from day one, and be part of building the company’s experience and culture
  • Have strong attention to detail and want to balance programming skills with hands‑on robotic assembly and automation
  • Are willing to travel to customer sites to assist in upgrades, installs, and machine down situations on a variety of equipment TruNorth has designed and manufactured.
  • Seek out leadership roles within teams, assignments, and other opportunities within the company
  • Are excited to be an integral part of a new and growing Service Team focused on delivering world class customer service experiences for our growing customer base
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or computer engineering or related field with minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Practical experience within an internship, co‑op, or team related to control systems
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Competent in MS Office: excel, word, power point
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Prior experience in a service role with software development, motion control, electrical design, PLC, HMI, machine vision, and/or robotics is preferred but not necessary
  • Able to travel by air or car, estimated up to 50% of your time with mostly local travel to current Customers’ sites
  • Travel to International and continental US customer facilities as needed. This travel currently is limited, but opportunities will increase as our company and Service Team grows
  • US citizen or authorization to work permanently for any Employer in the United States
