Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking a Hydraulic Technical Support Specialist based in West Palm Beach, Florida to work with our sales and engineering teams. This role involves answering fluid power questions and designing basic hydraulic systems to meet customer requirements.

You will cross-over components from other manufacturers to current supplier part numbers and interface with engineering, build shop, customer service, and sales teams to ensure customer success.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Fluid power knowledge/experience.
• Read and understand engineering drawings.
• Excellent telephone and e-mail skills.
• Familiarity with CAD is a plus.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Answer technical questions about fluid power from internal and external customers
• Design basic hydraulic systems to meet customer requirements
• Cross-over components from other manufacturers to current supplier part numbers
• Interface with engineering, build shop, customer service, and sales teams

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Fluid power knowledge/experience required
• Work will mostly consist of sitting in front of a computer on the telephone
• Excellent telephone and e-mail skills.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• Attention to detail
• Familiarity with common office software applications (Outlook, Word, etc.)
• Familiarity with internet search engines and how to find information with them
• CAD experience a plus
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills as required
