Job summary

Motion Industries' Hydraulic Supply Company (HSC), a division of Motion Industries, is seeking a Hydraulic Technical Support Specialist based in West Palm Beach, FL to work with our sales and engineering teams. This role focuses on assisting customers with fluid power knowledge and problem solving.

You will design basic hydraulic systems, reference supplier parts, and coordinate with engineering, build shop, customer service, and sales teams to deliver effective solutions.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Fluid power knowledge/experience required.
• Able to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Excellent telephone and email skills.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills as required.

Responsibilities

• Answer technical questions about fluid power from internal and external customers.
• Design basic hydraulic systems to meet customer requirements.
• Cross-over components from other manufacturers to current supplier part numbers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Answer technical questions about fluid power from internal and external customers
• Design basic hydraulic systems to meet customer requirements
• Cross-over components from other manufacturers to current supplier part numbers
• Interface with engineering, build shop, customer service, and sales teams

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Fluid power knowledge/experience required
• Work will mostly consist of sitting in front of a computer on the telephone
• Excellent telephone and e-mail skills.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• Attention to detail
• Familiarity with common office software applications (Outlook, Word, etc.)
• Familiarity with internet search engines and how to find information with them
• CAD experience a plus
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills as required
