Hiring for an Engineering Lab Technician in East Hartford, CT

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Engineering Lab Technician to provide hands-on testing support to the Materials Process Engineering team. This role involves working closely with engineers to facilitate and support a large development group. The technician will engage in metallography, operate various equipment, and document work in MS Word or PowerPoint. CAD skills are crucial for evaluating materials selected in engine part designs. The position consists of 60% laboratory testing and sample analysis, with 40% dedicated to documentation in Excel.

Responsibilities

Work Environment

The position requires working onsite 5 days a week, with flexible start times as early as 5 or 6 am. The work is conducted in the D building near the badging area. The dress code is business casual, and safety shoes are required, which can be expensed. The role offers a long duration of 36 months, with the potential for permanent employment after 12 months. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
