Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a test technician to set up and maintain test fixtures, perform diverse tests on the company’s products and competitors’ products, and prepare reports based on test results. The role requires basic electronics understanding, machinist skills and the ability to stand for long periods while lifting up to 50 pounds.

Candidate should have 0–2 years of experience with test equipment, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

  • 0–2 years of experience with test equipment, product life/performance test procedures and methods, mechanical/electrical principles or an applicable trade.
  • Knowledge of basic test concepts in the design and development of products and components.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in setup and maintaining test fixtures and equipment as required.
  • Exercise responsibility for thoroughness, timeliness and accuracy of work performed.
  • Perform diverse tests on Milwaukee Tool's line of products and competitor products.
  • Perform tests per work instructions and request procedures.
  • Prepare simple reports of test results and make recommendations.
  • Prepare reports utilizing a PC with word processing, database, and spreadsheet.
  • Must follow all safety protocols as prescribed.
  • Must be able to stand for 6 to 8 hours and lift 50 pounds.

Job Description: Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in setup and maintaining test fixtures and equipment as required
  • Exercise responsibility for thoroughness, timeliness and accuracy of work performed.
  • Perform diverse tests on the Company’s line of products and competitor products.
  • Perform tests per work instructions and request procedures.
  • Prepare simple reports of test results and make recommendations.
  • Prepare reports utilizing a PC with word processing, database, and spreadsheet.
  • Basic machining skills preferred
  • Basic electronics understanding preferred – AC/DC circuits, motors, sensors, controllers
  • Ability to complete basic wiring and soldering of components preferred.
  • Understanding of common machine component applications and assemblies.
  • Must follow all safety protocols as prescribed.
  • Must able to stand for 6 to 8 hourand lift 50 pounds.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • 0 to 2 years of experience with test equipment, product life / performance test procedures and methods, mechanical/electrical principles or an applicable trade.
