Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a skilled Engineering Technician to perform complex mechanical and electrical tests on our products and competitors in a fast-paced environment.

You will determine conformance to specifications, generate reports, and utilize LabVIEW, PLCs, and other tools while mentoring Engineering Technicians. Strong organization, communication, and proficiency with MS Office are required.

Qualifications

  • Education equivalent to a technical Associate Degree.
  • Excellent organization & communication skills.
  • 3+ years of experience with test equipment, test procedures and methods, mechanical/electrical principles.
  • High proficiency of Computer Skills and Microsoft Office products.
  • Knowledge of test concepts in the design and development of products and components.
  • Strong knowledge of Meters, Oscilloscopes, torque wrenches, hand tools required.
  • PC hardware and software knowledge with the ability to program in LabVIEW, Visual Basic and PLCs is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Dynamometers, power meters, power supplies, automated test equipment a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct diverse and complex mechanical and electrical tests on Milwaukee's line of products and competitive products.
  • Determine product conformance to the test specifications.
  • Perform tests using a variety of electrical and mechanical test equipment and techniques
  • Prepare reports of test results and make recommendations.
  • Exercise responsibility for thoroughness, timeliness and accuracy in preparing technical reports on tests performed.
  • Prepare these reports utilizing a PC with word processing, database, spreadsheet and statistical/graphical software.
  • Instruct and assign work to Engineering Technicians.
