Job summary

TempExperts in Tampa, FL is seeking an Engineering Technician Level I to join an innovative engineering and manufacturing group. You will set up and troubleshoot machinery, program CNC equipment, perform QA testing, and train customers on operation, programming, and maintenance.

You’ll work with robotics, automation, and advanced manufacturing technology, collaborating with Engineering and Production teams to drive process improvements and support customer locations as needed.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years programming, troubleshooting, operating, or maintaining machinery.
• Ability to read electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.

Responsibilities

• Set up and troubleshoot machinery and work cells.
• Program CNC equipment for samples and acceptance parts.
• Perform QA testing on new machinery before delivery.
• Train customers on operation, programming, and maintenance.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot at client sites or in-house.
• Repair and maintain equipment at customer locations as needed.
• Create and maintain technical docs, training materials, and guides.
• Partner with Eng. and Production on process/product improvements.
• Assist in development of new products and automation solutions.

Location: Tampa, FL 33626

Salary: Up to $75,000

Travel: Up to 25%

TempExperts is recruiting for an Engineering Technician Level I to join an innovative engineering and manufacturing organization in the Tampa area.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on, troubleshooting equipment, solving technical problems, and working with CNC machinery, robotics, automation, and advanced manufacturing technology.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Set up and troubleshoot new and existing machinery and work cells
• Program CNC equipment to produce customer samples and acceptance parts
• Perform quality assurance testing on new machinery before customer delivery
• Train customers on equipment operation, programming, and maintenance
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot equipment both in-house and at customer locations
• Repair and maintain equipment at customer sites as needed
• Create and maintain technical documentation, training materials, and troubleshooting guides
• Partner with Engineering and Production teams on process and product improvements
• Assist with the development of new products and industrial automation solutions

What We’re Looking For:

• Degree, coursework, technical training, or certifications in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
• 1–3+ years of experience programming, troubleshooting, operating, or maintaining machinery
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and technical problem-solving skills
• Ability to read electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics
• Experience with motion control systems, robotics, or Fanuc programming is a plus
• Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset
• Ability to work independently and creatively solve problems
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to travel up to 25%
