Job summary

Innova Solutions is hiring an Engineering Technician in Palm Bay, FL for a full-time contract role with potential contract-to-hire. You will support space structures subassembly manufacturing, perform mechanical assembly and system-level hardware testing, and assist with deployable mesh reflectors and precision alignments.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in assembly/testing or related fields, can work with measurement tools, and may obtain a security clearance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in assembly, test, manufacturing, or a related field.
• Ability to obtain security clearance and work in a classified area.
• TS/SCI Clearance and related space hardware experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in process improvement initiatives and provide feedback on assembly drawings, BOMs, engineering change orders, process control instructions, and detailed work instructions.
• Interpret and follow moderately complex sketches, schematics, drawings, wiring diagrams, and work instructions.
• Perform system level hardware testing and alignments to meet requirements, including field support and deployments.

Innova Solutions has a client that is immediately hiring for an Engineering Technician. Position Type: Full-time contract, Possible Contract to Hire Duration: 12months Location: Palm Bay, FL 32905 (6:00 am start time 5/8 some required overtime.)

As an Engineering Technician you will support space structures subassembly manufacturing and single line flow integration. Individual contributor effort with limited supervision manufacturing and integrating deployable mesh reflectors. Measure using multiple types of measurement tools i.e. tape measure, calipers, and inclinometer. Follow engineering drawings and processes. Mechanical assembly and test of space hardware. System level hardware integration. Preparation for and conducting system level hardware testing (deployments, vibe, etc.). Performing system level alignments to meet system requirements. Field support for spacecraft integration and precision alignments. Working for extended periods (2-hour durations) while performing work above shoulder level or while in a lying position. Move equipment weighing 45 pounds or less from one place to another. Work performed at elevated heights (up to 30 feet). Repetitive movements during specified durations. Manual dexterity and fine motor skills to handle and manufacture space hardware. Ability to utilize a ladder multiple times per shift.

Essential Functions

• Additional duties in alignment within engineering technician scope as necessary.

Ideal Candidate will have:

• Minimum 4 years' experience in assembly, test, manufacturing, or related field.
• Ability to obtain security clearance and work in a classified area.

Preferred Additional Skills

• TS/SCI Clearance.
• 4 years of experience with manufacturing space qualified hardware.
• Hi-Reliability, Bonding, and Aerial Platform certifications.
• Experience working with hand and toque tools / measurement tools (Micrometers/Calipers).
• Sewing.
• See small parts with or without magnification assistance.
• Experience mixing and application of two-part adhesives and RTVs.
• Strong sense of responsibility, ownership, and follow-through.
• Be a team player, pro-active, and customer oriented with a sense of urgency to accomplish a given task or goal.
• Possess a high level of initiative and willingness to learn.
• Exceptional organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Work first or second shift.
• Provide overtime support when needed.

This position is only open to applicants who can be engaged on a W-2 basis.

Pay Range and Benefits

Pay Range*: $30 to $34/per hour. *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
