Job summary

Fill-Rite is seeking an Engineering Technician for the second shift to support manufacturing operations with operator training, equipment troubleshooting, and part inspection. This hands-on role emphasizes collaboration with production and maintenance teams to improve efficiency and quality.

Responsibilities include training operators, interpreting engineering drawings, running CMM programs, inspecting parts with calipers, micrometers and height gages, and clearly communicating findings.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent technical training preferred.
• Experience using manual inspection tools, including calipers, micrometers, and height gages.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience with PLC and Fanuc robot troubleshooting.
• Basic understanding of work holding fixture design and cutting tools/CNC offsets.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook; other Office apps preferred.

We are seeking an Engineering Technician for second shift to support our manufacturing operations through operator training, equipment troubleshooting, and part inspection. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to apply your technical skills while working closely with production and maintenance teams to improve manufacturing efficiency and product quality. Responsibilities include:

Production and Training Support

• Provide technical support and training to employees in all operator classifications.
• Develop and maintain working knowledge of the company’s product lines and manufacturing equipment.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to support production activities.

Inspection and Quality Support

• Inspect parts using manual tools, including calipers, micrometers, and height gages.
• Run existing coordinate measuring machine (CMM) programs, interpret results, and communicate findings to the appropriate team members.
• Document inspection results clearly and accurately.

Troubleshooting and Communication

• Assist maintenance and production teams with troubleshooting equipment and manufacturing issues.
• Communicate technical issues and findings to operators, maintenance personnel, and other team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent technical training preferred.
• Experience using manual inspection tools, including calipers, micrometers, and height gages.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Ability to use Microsoft Outlook; proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications preferred.
