Job summary

Fill-Rite is seeking an Engineering Technician for the second shift to support manufacturing operations with operator training, equipment troubleshooting, and part inspection. This hands-on role emphasizes collaboration with production and maintenance teams to improve efficiency and quality.

Responsibilities include training operators, interpreting engineering drawings, running CMM programs, inspecting parts with calipers, micrometers and height gages, and clearly communicating findings.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent technical training preferred.
• Experience using manual inspection tools, including calipers, micrometers, and height gages.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience with PLC and Fanuc robot troubleshooting.
• Basic understanding of work holding fixture design and cutting tools/CNC offsets.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook; other Office apps preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and operator training across classifications.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to support production.
• Inspect parts with calipers, micrometers, and height gages; run CMM programs.
• Document inspection results clearly and communicate findings.
• Assist maintenance and production with troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
