Job summary

Kelly is seeking an Engineering Technician in Austin, TX to support electro-mechanical systems. You will perform design, test, fabrication, troubleshooting, and assembly across multiple shifts, including 1st, 2nd, and weekend schedules. The role involves building prototype models and test equipment, working from schematics, and documenting results.

Qualifications

  • Experience in electro-mechanical design, testing, fabrication, modification and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work from schematics, diagrams, layouts, or plans for testing and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine to moderately complex electro-mechanical technical activities, including design, test, fabrication, troubleshooting, and assembly of electronic and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Build prototype models, specialized test equipment, and experimental design circuitry.
  • Test and troubleshoot problems at the system and component level in electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Support new system installations, new product introductions (NPI), and field upgrades.
  • Refer to schematics, diagrams, layouts, and plans for troubleshooting and routine testing.
  • Maintain and compile logbooks and test documentation using strong writing skills.
  • Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and process testing on platforms per engineering and manufacturing documentation.
  • May perform rework as needed and generate quality notifications.

Engineering Technician
Shifts: 1st, 2nd and Weekend Schedules
Pay Scale: $22-$26/hr (plus shift differentials)

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine to moderately complex electro-mechanical technical activities, including design, test, fabrication, troubleshooting, and assembly of electronic and electro-mechanical systems.
