Job summary

Ecolab offers a 11-week paid Engineering Technical Sales Internship for summer 2027, with relocation to nationwide locations and a potential full-time Associate District Representative role after graduation. You will blend engineering rigor with consultative sales to drive energy and water solutions, engaging with customers across multiple sites and markets.

You’ll complete hands-on projects, safety training, and field observations, building critical relationships and gaining technical and sales

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental, Industrial) graduating in December 2027 or Summer 2028.
• Immigration sponsorship not available for this role.
• 11-week paid internship program starting June 1.
• Requires a valid US Driver’s License and access to a personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Complete independent projects yielding ROI under trainer’s direction.
• Complete safety training and technical lessons on water treatment applications.
• Observe and participate in service at customer sites for proper chemical application and optimization.
• Learn consultative sales approach and foundational training.
• Visit customer sites regionally (40–100% of training time in the field) to learn unit applications and treatment approaches.
• Build relationships with departments and personnel critical to field success.
• Gain sales experience across regional districts while helping customers meet sustainability goals.
• Provide routine service support to Sales Representatives; may be tested on Boilers, Cooling towers, Closed loops, RO and filtration.
