Job summary

Constrafor, a SaaS and fintech platform for construction, seeks an Engineering Tech Lead to guide Cru.ai—the AI-powered back-office platform for subcontractors. You will shape the architecture, set technical direction, and drive execution while staying hands-on with code.

You will mentor engineers, establish best practices, and collaborate with CTO, Product, and design teams to deliver scalable, secure software that delivers real business value to customers.

Qualifications

• 7+ years building and scaling modern SaaS apps.
• Experience leading technical initiatives or engineering teams.
• Proficient with Python, Django, PostgreSQL, AWS.
• Experience building AI-enabled products or integrating LLMs into production apps.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, RESTful APIs, cloud architecture.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical architecture and development of Cru.ai, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
• Serve as the technical lead for major initiatives from design through deployment.
• Build and optimize AI-powered product experiences by integrating LLMs and AI services.
• Collaborate with Product & Design to translate customer problems into solutions.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and architectural leadership; foster engineering excellence.
• Define and champion best practices across software architecture, testing, observability, security, and deployment.
• Identify opportunities to improve platform performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to translate feedback into product improvements.
