Job summary
Newport News Shipbuilding is seeking a Repair Activity Representative for the CVN 68 Inactivation Program. You will provide technical support to engineers, gather and format data, and produce drawings, reports, and schematics.
The role requires an Associate's Degree with 3 years of related experience or equivalent qualifications. On-site role with multiple shifts and no relocation assistance. US citizenship required.
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree and 3 years of relevant experience.
- Equivalent to Associate's Degree: NNS Apprentice School graduate or NNPS graduate or High School/GED with 2 years of related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience
- Equivalent to Associate's Degree: High School/GED with 4 years of non-related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience
Responsibilities
- Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks.
- Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data such as laboratory results and engineering design changes.
- Produces engineering documentation, reports, drawings, and schematics.
- Performs detailed mathematical calculations and preliminary analyses of data.
- Uses PC for analyses and documentation development.
- May conduct tests and record data to aid evaluation or analysis.
