Job summary

Leidos is seeking an Engineering Technician III to support the NATSC contract at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Newport, RI. The role focuses on repair, inspection, and maintenance of Jigs, Tools, and Test Equipment, including fiber optics, with independent work and strict safety documentation.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in electronics repair, soldering and fiber optic skills, and the ability to obtain/maintain a DOD secret clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required.
• High school diploma or GED with 2+ years electronics repair experience or related technical training.
• Experience using general purpose test equipment.
• Capable of soldering wires and inspecting fiber optic cables; training provided.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD secret clearance.
• Adherence to Leidos Values and Business Ethics.

Responsibilities

• Repair, modify, and troubleshoot modules or components.
• Assemble or install equipment with simple wiring or testing.
• Build and repair pigtail assemblies per detailed documentation.
• Build, inspect, polish, and test fiber optic cables.
• Use test equipment to measure and troubleshoot hardware.
• Provide status updates and work independently with minimal supervision.
