Job summary

General Dynamics IT seeks an Engineering Technician IV to install, maintain, and test complex electrical and optical systems. You will troubleshoot and modify circuitry, provide customer instructions, and document malfunctions. Expect hands-on work with fiber optic cables aboard naval ships and coordination with engineering teams.

Required are 5+ years of related experience and an Associate degree. Onsite location in Seattle, WA with travel.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• Knowledge of fiber optic installation onboard ships preferred.

Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains, repairs, and tests electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment.
• Troubleshoots malfunctions with specialized test equipment.
• Splices and terminates fiber optic cables onboard naval ships.
• Provides operation/maintenance instruction and QA support.
