Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of engineering experience with hands-on design.
• Experience leading an engineering team.
• Familiarity with product development stage-gate processes.
• Experience with CAE/FEA, calculations, modeling or simulation.
• Strong project management and communication skills.
• Ability to coach, mentor and develop engineers.
• Experience with DFMEA or QFD is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering design team through new product development lifecycle.
• Guide concept development, evaluation and design solution recommendations.
• Manage risks with design reviews and lessons learned.
• Ensure quality and documentation standards.
• Develop validation plans and product release readiness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching and technical direction.
• Plan resources, schedules and budgets.
