Job summary

Vizient in Chicago is seeking an experienced engineering leader to manage the software development lifecycle of complex enterprise solutions. You will balance technical excellence with team leadership and guide modernization efforts across .NET apps and cloud-enabled services.

The role requires driving CI/CD, code quality, and secure design while collaborating with product managers and architects to align technology with business goals.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant experience in software engineering and leading teams.
• Experience delivering enterprise-scale applications across full SDLC.
• Strong hands-on experience with C#, .NET Framework, ASP.NET MVC/Web API, RESTful APIs, and SQL Server.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and design of scalable software systems.
• Ensure adherence to engineering best practices (code reviews, testing, CI/CD, security).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical decisions with business goals.
• Participate in retrospectives and drive continuous improvement.
• Coach and mentor engineers and bridge technical execution with leadership.
• Lead integration of AI tools into the development lifecycle.
• Interface with Product Owners and Delivery Leads regarding status and risks.
• Guide modernization of legacy .NET apps, APIs, and cloud-enabled solutions.
• Oversee design, development, integration, and support of enterprise platforms.
