Job summary

The University of South Florida seeks a Manager Teaching Laboratory to oversee daily operations, staff leadership, and resource coordination for instructional laboratories in the College of Engineering. You will ensure labs are equipped, safe, and ready for teaching and student learning activities, collaborating with faculty and external partners.

Responsibilities include managing lab hardware/software deployments, providing advanced application support, and coordinating imaging to keep systems

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a field related to the discipline and one year of related experience.
• Degree equivalency: four years of direct experience in lieu of a degree.
• Preferred: industry certifications in Microsoft, Cisco, Network+, A+, Dell and/or Apple.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day planning, operation and resolution of college-specific lab service needs.
• Provide lab management: configuration, deployment, maintenance, troubleshooting of hardware/software used in teaching and research.
• Deliver advanced Application Support for departmental systems and coordinate change management.
• Plan and maintain specialized laboratory desktop imaging for availability of workstation tools.
• Assist classrooms, conference rooms, and remote locations with technology setup and connectivity.
• Coordinate with IT and Research Computing to ensure software tools are licensed and implemented.
• Perform imaging and configuration across the College of Engineering as needed.
