RTX, the world’s largest aerospace and defense company, offers a Monday–Friday Co-Op in Aguadilla, PR from January to June. Residents of Puerto Rico are required to start in this location, with relocation not offered.

The role develops through on-the-job training while contributing to engine programs and business support functions. Applicants should be enrolled in an accredited engineering program, maintain a 3.0 GPA, and demonstrate strong communication skills in English.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Civil or Industrial Engineering.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 required.
  • U.S. citizenship required for access to certain systems.

Responsibilities

  • Co-ops at Pratt & Whitney work on challenging, meaningful projects across the business.
  • Engage with engineers to understand the future of aerospace and contribute fresh ideas.
  • Support a range of programs including Mature Commercial Engines, Geared Turbofan, and Military Engine projects.
  • Participate in on-the-job training and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, teammates and supervisors in English.

Immerse yourself in a Monday-Friday Co-Op session, that will run from January to June (it is expected students will take this time off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity). This position will sit at our Aguadilla, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.

Qualifications you must have:
  • Enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program in an applicable field of study Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Civil and Industrial Engineering
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.

ESTO provides dedicated support by eliminating quality notifications, escapes, works stops and enabling producibility and delivery of legacy and new parts, assemblies, modules, and engines. ESTO covers all engine programs and part families, enabling engine deliveries, first piece reviews, first article inspections, analysis automation, process certification. ESTO also supports the Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) initiative in Operations. Technical disciplines in ESTO include Project Engineering, Mechanical Design, Structural Analysis, Product Definition, and Manufacturing Engineering. Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. This means that responsibilities of the job need to be performed onsite in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico on a regular basis with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote following the schedule assigned by the Manager.
