Serves as primary focal point for the 3D Print Lab, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable daily operations. Converts engineering CAD models into printed parts through print preparation, build setup, material selection, and post‑processing. Coordinates and prioritises 3D printing requests from multiple engineering teams and customers. Produces parts for full‑scale mockups, rapid prototypes, tooling and fixtures, fit and form validation, maintainability assessments, and engineering demonstrations. Operates, maintains, calibrates, and troubleshoots 3D printers and associated equipment. Performs routine maintenance to maximise equipment availability and print quality. Manages inventory of printing materials, consumables, and spare parts. Coordinates procurement activities and shipping of completed parts. Communicates project status and expectations throughout the print process. Works with CAD models and engineering drawings, and applies 3D printing processes (FDM, SLA) and post‑processing techniques.
