Summary
- Dismantles, moves, assembles, installs, and repairs industrial machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, drawings, or verbal instructions.
- Dismantles equipment and machines using hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand tools.
- Moves machinery and equipment using hoist, dollies, rollers, and trucks.
- Assembles and installs equipment such as conveyors and tram rails using hand and power tools.
- Constructs foundations, aligns machines, and performs scheduled inspection and maintenance.
- Sets up and operates machine tools and fabrication machinery to rework or make new parts.
- Performs root cause analysis in support reliability processes and collaborates with vendors, engineering, team leader, customer, other crafts, and management to solve equipment problems and develop corrective action.
- Reworks and maintains tools of all types and materials.
- Performs routine minor machine maintenance including replacing machine filters, changing light bulbs, and maintaining lubrication/coolant levels.
- Repairs and builds lay-up tools.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
- 3+ years of aerospace tooling or precision machining experience.
- Proficiency with laser trackers, GD&T blueprints, overhead gantry cranes, and hydraulic systems.
- High School diploma or technical degree.
- Knowledge of station safety, quality (clean as you go / Foreign Object Debris) and OSHA regulations.
- Basic skills of using a variety of tools.
- Ability to enter, generate and retrieve information using a computer (SAP and Excel knowledge required).
- High School Diploma/GED or WorkKeys Assessment completion.
Preferred
- Training from a vocational school or previous employer in the use of dismantling, moving, installing, and repairing industrial machinery and equipment.
